Ava's here!

This is an attempt to document all the funky stuff going through my head as my daughter is born. Not too sure as to how many days, weeks, months or years I'll stay attentive from a blog perspective...

Here's Ava having some fun in the snow.  She didn't think I should have to shovel "all by myself" so I didn't waste any time in getter her a shovel of her own :-).  She's about a month past her 3rd birthday here.

Here's what happens when you are blessed with an incredibly cute daughter, was at one time an art major, are cocky enough to think you can immediately master whatever medium comes across your path, and create your artwork in the very wee hours between bottle feedings (of Ava's newly arrived sister.)  This pains me to look at it, as it would anyone familiar with the way Ava really looks, but that little masochistic voice inside me insisted on publishing this... I guess the good news is that I've apparently evolved to the point of losing any pride in my work.

Oh, and you can see Ava dancing to my tortured guitar playing here.

It's really pathetic how long I've neglected this little girl's blog.  Suffice it to say that, as of April 29, 2008, she has a new little sister - Abigail Jean.  And although I don't have time to elaborate on everything that's gone on with Ava over the past year or so, I can at least provide some recent photos from the Transportation Fair she attended the other day.

Sorry for the massive absence - but for what it's worth, here are some photo updates:

Wow, haven't written anything in eons (at least not here - I have in plenty of other places.) She's 5 months old and continues to be the cutest thing you could imagine. Just the other day she rolled over for the first time. She's incredibly alert and studies every detail of each person she comes across before totally disarming them with her smile. She's taken to rattling on incessantly at high volume in her own little language. I'll save this for now to make sure I remember how to work with this blog...
